Anaplasmosis is a tick-borne disease that can affect both dogs and humans. While CAPC is not forecasting any significant changes in anaplasmosis activity in 2017, pet owners in Northern California, Western Pennsylvania and New York State are advised to discuss annual testing for anaplasmosis and Lyme disease with their veterinarian, as well as tick preventive.  Wisconsin and Minnesota, traditional endemic zones for anaplasmosis are not expected to see dramatic increases in prevalence this year.
